Hey!

We are Dave & Lyndz, two cafe hoppers & coffee lovers on the run, and we’re obsessed with the world and strongly dislike routine! Our itch to travel brought about the idea of escaping the grind (get it?) to live a more travel-filled lifestyle with less routine & more caffeine.

Stuck in a rut for more than a decade, the idea of making our escape came about while we were on vacation in Japan; we decided to risk it, pack up and leave it all behind (read the full story here). Our extended coffee break was made possible by simplifying our lives, saving up by down-sizing our spending, selling almost all our possessions and leaving the 8-5 grind behind. Both graphic designers by trade, we continue to work as freelances along the way to keep this dream alive.

To own our own cafe/coffee trailer is the end goal, and we’re sneaking in ideas, tips and recipes along the way. We have currently been on the road for more than a year, have visited 200+ cafes in over 55 cities/towns, in 19 different countries.

Runaway with us… as we scatch the travel itch, tick personal bucket list items, hop around the planet from cafe to cafe, and taste the worlds finest caffeinated beverages!
